Applying for Your SOC Agreement
After earning six (6) semester credit hours with CTC, with a minimum GPA of 2.0, you may request an evaluation of military training, education, and experience. To request the evaluation, submit the Evaluation Request form and required documentation. You will receive your SOC agreement within 4 to 6 weeks. If you have any questions about your evaluation or agreement, email Student Services and include your name, SSN, previous site(s) attended, and approximate dates of attendance and a list of transcripts that have been requested, and the degree plan(s) for which you seek an evaluation.
If you need an official CTC transcript when the evaluation is completed, you should submit a Request for Transcript. Your first transcript is free; all subsequent transcripts are provided for a fee of $3. If the transcript is being used for a promotion board, an official copy is generally necessary.
Getting Help with SOC Agreements
If you have questions about your agreement: Is it still in effect? Will these courses be accepted? Have I met residency requirements? Will you accept CLEP credit toward degree completion? How many credits can I expect to receive? Just email Student Services and they will give you an immediate response.
If you are unable to complete your degree requirements with CTC and wish to use distance learning or transfer credit, you may do so. But, you will need advance approval of specific courses, if you want to use credits from other institutions to complete your degree. Please allow sufficient time for the approval. For information on updating your SOC, simply call, write, or email:
