After initial class registration, all official electronic correspondence between financial aid and students will be via email. It is imperative you check your CTC EagleMail (student email) on a regular basis.
You'll appreciate the improved “View Account” and “Make A Payment” options in WebAdvisor Financial Administration. The robust “View Account” screens include all information you frequently request and expect. Financial aid, tuition assistance and refund information can now be displayed along with charges per class and payment information.
You can now print an account statement—no more waiting in line at the Business Office simply to receive a copy of the schedule (registration statement). The “Make a Payment” process is much simpler to use. Once payment has been accepted, you will receive a more detailed payment confirmation in addition to an emailed receipt.
Staff members can access the same ‘view’ you see—you no longer have to get a copy of the schedule to take to our VA office or to get a student ID card made.
Your Financial Aid file must be completed and an award accepted by:
Applications for financial aid will be accepted and processed in order of receipt after these dates, but you will experience delays in receiving eligible funds for registration and books. Financial aid is awarded on an academic semester (fall and spring).
Summer aid is available only if there are remaining funds. Apply early each year so available aid is in place in time for registration. Late applicants should make arrangements to pay their own registration expenses.
You need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for each award year in which you are or plan to be a student. Eligibility for federal student aid does not carry over from one award year to the next.
Submit a FAFSA as early as October 1 every year.
Beginning with the 2017–18 FAFSA, students are required to report income information from an earlier tax year. For example, on the 2017–18 FAFSA, students (and parents, as appropriate) must report their 2015 income information, rather than their 2016 income information.
The school code for Central Texas College is 004003. You will need to know this when completing the FAFSA.
Ten days before the start date of each class, financial aid is released to the business office to pay for classes and allow book store charging. You are responsible for paying any remaining charges (tuition, fees, books, etc.) if financial aid is not sufficient to cover the expenses.
Balance checks are processed by the Accounts Receivable department in accordance with federal regulations. Funds can be direct deposited to your bank account once you enter your banking information on WebAdvisor; otherwise, balances will be mailed.
The deadline to apply for CTC Foundation Scholarships is 11:59 p.m. March 31st. Applications are accepted online starting January 1 each year.
